The Czech edition of Gottfried’s book against the Wagner cult was presented in the Barrister & Pricipal publishing house in Brno in 2006 during the week of the opening of the Jewish cultural centre.
Tomaš, Flaška and Brundibár
Flaška, as Anna Hanusová was nicknamed by her friends, was and is the soul of the “Girls of Ro0m 28” Project (Room 28 Projects). It was her desire to create a lasting memory in honour of their friends of Room 28.Flaška was part of the Brundibár ensemble in Theresienstadt and for many years shared her experiences with thousands of people, young and old, and conveyed to them how it was for her to play in Brundibár and what the opera meant to her and the children. Her son Tomaš conducted the music of this outstanding WNO production.
Anna Hannusova and Helga Pollak-Kinsky were committed to the projects 28 of Hannelore Brenner. Their life long friendship was based on the common time in room 28 in Thersienstadt / Terezin concentration champ. Both supported Gottfried Wagner’s work and became his friends. Anna worked together with Iriho Grusi, who was aprominent active compagnion of Vaclav Havel (and became later his minster of foreign affairs in Austria) against the communist terror.
